Fenland Teapot No.1
This teapot was hand-thrown in white speckled clay and glazed in a high-gloss crystalline ash glaze. The handle is aspen wood treated in Danish oil and bound in willow and reed. The shape is inspired by the shaking leaves of a grove of aspen trees along the River Ouse, where the clay and wood for the handle and glaze were foraged.
Dimensions: 16cm H x 26 W with handle, the pot is 11cm H x 21cm W excluding the handle.
All measurements in centimetres and approximate to a few millimetres. Width is usually from widest point.
Photographs have been taken in studio and/or natural light with a Nikon D3200 and have no colour editing. Colours may appear slightly different from the actual piece depending on screen and lighting differences.
